The Capoêra Angola School was created out of the need to provide a learning environment that seeks to come as close as possible to the ideas, principles, and movements used in the past. Its mission is to rescue and preserve elements that are rare or barely explored in modern capoeira, safeguarding the historical and cultural essence of this art.

This philosophy is also reflected in the design of the school's logo. We acknowledge that it is not possible to play capuêra exactly as it was in the past, as it is impossible to fully recreate the movements and playing styles from centuries ago. However, we can reinterpret and consciously integrate these ancient elements into the present-day context, keeping the spirit of tradition alive.

For this reason, participation in the training offered by the Capuêra Angola School is not open to just anyone. Only Mestre Márcio has the authority to approve new students. It is not enough to simply want to join or have the financial means to pay the tuition; one must demonstrate commitment, respect for the school's philosophy, and a genuine interest in the deep study of capuêra angola.
